Once again two members of our Society worked to compile detailed information from Lafayette County, Mississippi's census to produce a version that simplifies research for those looking for records related to their families. Many early census records were lost or deteriorated such that spending hours going through microfilm or online versions can be frustrating. Here's a hard copy in which you can skim through the neighborhoods or communities to see if other family members are nearby or spot the name of a later bride. Birthplaces of siblings can give you an idea of your family's migration to Lafayette County.
